Note to Self: You are Unstoppable Creativity in Action

Here's a note to myself I rediscovered in my journal this morning. Maybe it will be a welcome flicker of inspiration for you today as it was for me. I enjoyed reflecting on how much this approach to life has helped me move into action over the years:

“Cultivate each day a mindset and inner environment of inspiration and devotion, not willpower or harsh discipline for yourself. Create what you intrinsically love, what inspires you, grounded in joy, not reacting to what you should do, so that some imaginary judge will approve, or some external future metric will magically give you meaning.

You create because it’s your nature. You can’t not create. You can create beautiful, inspiring forms. Or you can create an experience of hell at any moment.

Where does the energy want to go? Follow that. No rules; just presence and action. The way things are, the way things could be, action, the way things are. Be, do, have.  Repeat.

Be a sidewinder, magician, heart exploding, playing on the edge, giving it away, aligning the machine with the spirit, tuning in, and expanding out. Express yourself over and over, winning, losing, gaining, giving away, and having fun doing it.  Not tied to a fixed perspective – that’s just an illusion. Just actually be the expression of an infinite range of possibilities that occur to you. Pick one that sends a ripple of excitement through your body.

Be the feeling, be the one by the fire, be the one in the center of the ring, be the one in the center of the fire, be the one by the edge of the water, be the one bringing the water, be the one anchoring chaos, be the one playing with chaos, be the one echoing truth, be the one creating from the infinite field, be a volcano in the ocean. Be a drop of water in the pond, adapting to the way things are, creating what could be, bringing the music to heal and break apart the fixed vibrations of limitation, and exploding the hinges off the flimsy doors of illusion that we set up to stay safe, and then suffer anyway.

Be a badass, adventurous, manifesting, optimistic, inspiring Being full of generosity, spirit and joy.

Lead. Create.”
